As good as new because it's the same as new!

This is an original GM remote keyless entry module. I bought the car last year and the remote that came with it still worked but it was very worn. I wanted a remote that looked like new for my new toy car (2002 Camaro Convertible). Every time I picked up the keys I felt bad at how old and worn the key fob looked (despite still working).

I tried buying a replacement case first...very cheap fix, right? Well that didn't work. The buttons looked the same but the parts wouldn't fit in the case. What's worse is that I damaged the internals while trying to make it fit so now the original one doesn't work at all. So I bought this unit. That car allows for self-programming (no need to go to a dealer) so the setup is painless. The range is much better with the new fob and it looks great!

My last keyless entry remote didn't work so I took a shot to buy this one. I can't complain, it works perfectly. The range is excellent.
